Manchester United vs West Ham Stats

  • These two met in London at the weekend with Manchester United sneaking a 2-1 win.
  • West Ham haven’t won at Old Trafford since 2007.

Betting Tip: Manchester United to Win & Both Teams to Score

It seems to happen all the time that sides that meet at the weekend end up playing each other days later in the cup and that’s the case here. It may be a heavily changed team from both sides given the volume of rotation Premier League teams do in these cup competitions. You also have to bare in mind that both these sides have European commitments next week too so it’s understandable if changes are made.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could well give a start to match winner and former Hammer Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly and Diego Dalot may be others to get a start. David Moyes isn’t one to make sweeping changes in cup competitions but the likes of Alex Kral, Andriy Yarmolenko, Arthur Masuaku and Craig Dawson could come into the XI. Michail Antonio missed out last time out and may feature.

I’m still yet to be convinced by the hosts defence, they conceded in 68% of home league games last season and with Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane likely to be rested I do think the Hammers can score. United do have greater options off the bench though and I do think they’ll edge this one, possibly 2-1 again. Man United to win and both teams to score at 23/10 looks a sizeable boost from the 1/2 on them to win.
