Betting Tip: Manchester United to win and both teams to score

The Ralf Rangnick era begins at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon and the experienced German is coming into a side who have won 2 of their last 3 games as well as taking a point at Chelsea. There’s a more optimistic mood around the club now and although it may take some time for Rangnick to nail down his methods to this group of players it looks like they’ve responded well to new voices.

Crystal Palace have earned plenty of plaudits for their efforts this campaign, however, those positive showings aren’t reflected in their points total of 16 points through 14 games. A late loss at Elland road meant it was back-to-back defeats for the first time this season for the Eagles and they’ll have to be wary of not making a blip into somewhat of a slump.

Thankfully for Patrick Vieira, his side have a rather favourable end to the year fixture-wise with some winnable games. They certainly shouldn’t be underestimated here, after all they did do a job on United’s rivals Manchester City at the Etihad earlier in the campaign. They may thrive in transitions and I fancy them to at least get on the scoresheet.

However, a renewed United side, fresh off scoring 3 past a decent Arsenal defence should have the attacking potency to outscore their counterparts, therefore the 12/5 on a home win and both teams to score looks just the ticket.
