Betting Tip: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals
Two of the more entertaining sides in the premier league meet at Elland Road on Saturday and goalmouth action could be the order of the day once again. Leeds have recorded back to back league wins for the first time this season after putting in a strong performance at West Ham in a 3-2 win last weekend. The West Yorkshire side were deserving victors the game before against Burnley too, it’s taken them 9 points clear of the drop zone.
Betting Tip: Jack Harrison to score anytime
Marcelo Bielsa continues to do a fine job considering they have had a wealth of injuries to key players this season and it’s down to the sheer intensity of the collective press and off the ball movement. One player who has really come to the fore is Jack Harrison, the hat-trick hero of last weekend. The former Manchester City man has more of a goalscoring burden on himself given the continued absence of Patrick Bamford and he’s now bagged in back to back games. At 7/2 he looks a standout price to notch against a Newcastle side who have conceded more than two goals per game on average this season.
For all their defensive flaws, the Toon Army have been a good watch in the final third managing to score in 75% of their league games this term. They’ve already bolstered their squad with the arrivals of Kieran Trippier and former white Chris Wood to add to the in-form Allan Saint-Maximin and Joelinton.
Given Leeds have kept just three clean sheets this season it’s the goal markets that make the most appeal here with both teams to score and over 2.5 goals looking the standout play at just under even-money.
