Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

It was back in September when these two met in East London and it was Man United who came away with a 2-1 win, a result that looks strong now given the great season West Ham have had so far. The Hammers have won half their matches this season and currently sit in the Champions League places and the underlying performance data stacks up with their healthy points total.

There’s been calls from many that Hammers forward Jarrod Bowen deserves a call up for the England national side given his excellent form of late. The former Hull City man has scored four and assisted three in his last six games and his contributions along with the likes of Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini are helping striker Michail Antonio.

Manchester United were very poor in the first half at Brentford midweek but were clinical in the second half, scoring thrice. That’s the thing with this side, they’ve rarely played superbly this season but have won games by having that extra bit of individual quality in the final third and that may tell here again. Having said that, their away record is much more up to scratch than that at Old Trafford.

Do I want to back the hosts at odds-on though, against a side above them in the table? Probably not. Instead, I’ll take the goals-based approach and have a small interest in both teams to score and over 2.5 match goals at around even money.
