Betting Tip: Draw

Chelsea may have bested London rivals Spurs in the semi-final of the League Cup but Thomas Tuchel has seen his side slip away from being genuine title challengers a couple of months ago to some even calling into question their top four credentials. The Blues have only lost three times this season but it’s their failure to turn draws into wins that is seeing them lose pace with Liverpool and Manchester City.

Romelu Lukaku hasn’t looked himself of late and Chelsea are struggling to get goals on the board. There’s little rhyme or reason to the starting lineups Tuchel is putting out and his incessant moaning is clearly filtering down to the players in a negative way.

Spurs were involved in a thrilling come-from-behind win at the King Power stadium midweek with Steven Bergwijn netting an added time brace to spark scenes of jubilation in the away end. That could give this Spurs side a real shot in the arm and increase confidence which was clearly lacking in both legs of the semi-final. Heung Min-Son will remain out but Eric Dier comes back into the reckoning. Matt Doherty should start after his impressive performance against Leicester.

In the league though the North Londoners have been very tricky to beat under Conte and I think the former Chelsea gaffer can snatch a point at the Bridge and it’s the draw that just looks too big at 3/1 that’s the way in given how often it is landing in Chelsea games of late.
