Kidderminster vs West Ham United Tips

Betting Tip: West Ham to win and over 2.5 goals

These kinds of fixtures are exactly what the FA Cup is all about and it should be a fervent atmosphere at a packed out Aggborough on Saturday lunchtime. Kiddy have been superb this season under the tutelage of former Burton Albion midfielder Russell Penn. Away from their decent league form as they aim to get back into the 5th tier it’s this cup run that has gained admiring glances throughout the country.

Kiddy have already knocked out higher placed sides in Halifax, Grimsby and Championship outfit Reading in the last round and fully deserve a shot in the 4th round. Bookmakers have chalked the 6th tier outfit as 8/1 shots to qualify and that’s probably fair enough considering their opponents are a side who qualified for Europe last season under an excellent manager in David Moyes.

The Hammers have been in fine form all season have yet to suffer a prolonged run of defeats. It will be interesting to see how strong Moyes goes in terms of the selected XI, the last round against Leeds he fielded a side that would usually play in the league. Michail Antonio may be rested having just come back from Jamaica however Said Benrahma has been back from AFCON for a while now and should be ok to feature.

Betting Tip: Ryan Fredericks to score anytime

One man that should start is flying right-back Ryan Fredericks. He’s a player that often gets into the final third knowing the discipline of his central midfielders dropping in if he marauds forward and this may be one of those games where the visitors need to commit more players forward to unlock a suspected deep block.

He’s rarely featured in the league this season but has had a couple of shots in his 3 Europa League appearances whilst also notching in 1 of his 6 league starts last season. He’s a double figure price to net here and don’t be surprised to see him try and get round Andriy Yarmelenko as he looks to cut in and take players with him.

There is potential that the hosts get on the scoresheet though, especially with the in form Omari Sterling-James and Amari Morgan-Smith. Even if they go a couple of goals down there’s always that chance of becoming a cult hero with a goal in a historic clash. On the other hand it would not be a surprise to see the Hammers stroll into the next round so taking the away win and over 2.5 goals looks a fine way in at a backable price.

West Ham to win and over 2.5 goals - 2pts @ 3/4
Ryan Fredericks to score anytime - 0.5pts @ 11/1
