Tottenham vs Brighton Stats

  • Tottenham have won their last 6 home matches against Brighton in all competitions.
  • There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Brighton's last 6 FA Cup games.
  • Tottenham are undefeated in their last 9 FA Cup matches.

Betting Tip: Draw

The late FA Cup Saturday kick-off is an all Premier League affair as Brighton make the short trip up to London to take on Spurs. Both sides will harbour genuine hopes of getting to the latter stages of the competition but only one will make it through to the next round.

There’s little to separate these two in the league with just 6 points separating the pair but strangely Brighton have lost 2 fewer games as well as playing 2 more games than Spurs. The problem with the Seagulls is their inability to turn draws into wins. Over half their league games have ended all square and backing the stalemate in all of their games this season would’ve provided a hefty profit.

They’ve managed to get draws against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham, teams on a similar level to Spurs so I see no reason to go against another draw here at 13/5 which looks a generous quote.

Betting Tip: Adam Lallana to be carded

One player who is a standout price in the card market is midfielder Adam Lallana. The former Southampton and Liverpool man has collected 4 cards already this season and he is now deployed in a deeper midfield role for the most part. He’s far from the quickest and could be vulnerable when Spurs look to counterattack.

Draw - 1pt @ 13/5
Adam Lallana to be carded – 13/2 – 0.5 points - 0.5pts @ 13/2
