Huddersfield Town vs Nottingham Forest Tips
Betting Tip: Both Teams Carded & Nottingham Forest to Lift the Trophy
It all comes down to this and the prize up for grabs is a spot in the Premier League next season. Both sides are fully deserving of their place here but Nottingham Forest’s campaign is worthy of separate recognition. When boss Steve Cooper arrived in September, Forest were bottom of the table but after putting together form that rivalled table-toppers Fulham, they now have the chance to take the next step and reach the top flight.
It should be a competitive encounter and with so much on the line, I’m expecting a fascinating and tense encounter. Neither side will give anything up easy and I expect to see some challenges flying in as both clubs put everything on the line in search of victory.
I’m expecting the ‘Reds’ to achieve glory and given both teams have seen at least a card in 10 of their last 12 outings, I will be having a point on this bet builder.
Betting Tip: Nottingham Forest Win & Under 2.5 Goals
As previously stated, I want to be on the side of Nottingham Forest here who I think have the momentum to get over the line here.
However, I’m not expecting a high scoring encounter and a goal could easily be all that’s required to decide this one. There is no value in the under 2.5 goals market, but combining that with Nottingham Forest winning this in 90 minutes and you get a very generous price of 10/3. Steve Cooper’s side has opened the scoring in seven of their last eight matches and it wouldn’t surprise me if a solitary goal is enough to see one of these sides get over the line.
I think Nottingham Forest are simply a better side than Huddersfield Town, despite the fact the Yorkshire outfit finished above Forest in the league. The ‘Terriers’ matches aren’t usually high scoring affairs and their last three Championship outings have witnessed fewer than three goals being scored.
I’ll be having half a point on this selection landing under the arch at Wembley on Sunday.
