FK Jerv vs Haugesund - Haugesund Over 1.5 Team Goals

Both of these pair have had a bit of a rough start to the Eliteserien this year, but Jerv really seem to be struggling to compete at this higher level. Promoted from the OBOS Ligaen last year they've failed to strengthen really and have collected just 7pts from a possible 30 this season so far. They've had a break since squeezing past lower league Fram in the cup, needing extra time to get past a side who play four tiers below them, and in the league they've had five straight losses, the last three of those all coming here on home soil where they've shipped a whopping 12 goals.

They face a Haugesund side who had a bit of a dodgy run in the early stages of the season but seem to have come to life as of late. The visitors have registered three straight wins in all comps, albeit two of those coming in the cup against lower league sides. You can't deny that a 4-2 win against Viking last time out in the league though was an impressive result, and they have the best goalscoring record of any side in the bottom half of the league.

IBV vs Breidabilk - Over 2.5 Goals

I’m a big fan of Breidablik this season and I'm going to keep the faith on them delivering more entertainment here. They conceded for us last time out in a game against Akranes where we backed goals at both ends, and I'm going to slightly swerve away from that this time as Vesty are rock bottom of the league and have been pretty poor in front of goal.

They could well nick one, sure, I mean Breidablik only know one style of football this year which is all out attack and hope, so it could open things up for the hosts who scored three last time out in a 3-3 draw against Fram, but I'd expect the majority of the leg work to be done by the visitors.

They've collected 30pts from a possible 33 this season, scoring 35 goals in 11 games including 3 wins on the bounce in which they've scored 10 and seen totals of 5, 4, 5. They could knock 4 in here again on their own to be honest, but I'll back them to score a couple and let the rest of the chips fall where they may.

Fluminense vs Corinthians - Fluminense to win

On paper you'd fancy Corinthians to get something out of this game. 2nd in the league with a chance to move joint top, they're having a decent season, but they're also having a decent season on other fronts. Their 0-0 draw against Boca Juniors here in Brazil only a few days ago means there is everything to play for in their trip to Argentina in a few days time.

Not only do they have a number of injuries coming into this. The last update from Corinthians, before the game against Boca Juniors, about the players who are in the medical department was: Maycon, Gil, Gustavo Silva, Renato Augusto, Du Queiroz, Rafael Ramos and Paulinho all absent through injury. They are also expected to field a number of players from their U20 squad to give their main team a rest before that all important trip to Boca in a few days.

Fluminense are far from a bad side, winning three straight in the league and with a chance to move 3rd here and they haven't been beaten in their last five at home to Corinthians, winning three of those. This should be a different prospect though against kids and reserves.
