Leeds United vs Aston Villa Tips:

Betting Tip: Leeds United win

It seems like an age since we saw Leeds United in action. In fact, it's been nearly a month since they played and they have a match with Aston Villa to look forward to in what should be a packed Elland Road.

Jesse Marsch will be watching from the stands but he’ll have his side fully fired up for this one as they look to extend their solid start on home soil. They’ve secured wins in two of their three home league games, drawing the other, and amongst those results was a 3-0 thrashing of Chelsea.

They welcome an Aston Villa outfit who have somewhat underperformed and are hoping to break a run of three straight Premier League away defeats. Across those three matches, they have conceded seven goals and it’s at the back where their struggles lie.

The hosts are a highly energetic side and they will look to win the ball back as quickly as possible. The Whites average more tackles per match than any other side in the division and I'm not sure Aston Villa will be able to keep them at bay.

Steven Gerrard will be unable to call on a number of key players here and it means I like the price on a home victory even more. Give me a Leeds United win for a point.

Betting Tip: Tyler Adams to be booked

My second pick for this match is for midfielder Tyler Adams to go into referee Stuart Attwell’s book at some point in the 90 minutes.

When Aston Villa have been on the road in the early stages of this campaign, four opposition midfielders occupying a central role have been shown a yellow card and I think this match will pan out in a way that means the duo of Adams and Klich will have to put challenges in.

The hosts play with such intensity but that can mean that silly challenges are made. Tyler Adams is an underrated player in my opinion. He’s neat and tidy, is comfortable with the ball at his feet and loves to sniff out any danger. However, he occasionally has moments where he seems to lack concentration and given the technical ability of the Aston Villa midfield, he could be walking a tightrope from the early stages

I’ll have another point on the USA international being booked.
