Everton vs Leicester City Tips

Betting Tip: Both teams to score

Everton come into this match after drawing 0-0 with Fulham and as a result, they became the first side to keep a clean sheet against the Cottagers. Now their focus will be on adding more potency to their attack as they have failed to score two or more goals in five of their six home matches this campaign. The one game they achieved that feat came in their last outing at this venue when they put three past Crystal Palace.

The Foxes suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester City in their last outing which can be forgiven, and that loss followed up a well deserved 4-0 away win against Wolves and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that his side can add another three points to their tally and possibly move out of the bottom three.

This should be an entertaining clash with both sides searching for a positive result and recent meetings between these two clubs have been close encounters. However, nine of the last 10 clashes between these two at Goodison Park have seen both teams successfully hit the back of the net and with both teams gunning for a well needed victory, it would be unsurprising to see it happen again.

Everton have had an upturn in form lately, however, they are facing the second-highest shots per game on average on home soil and Leicester City have managed to score in every single away game so far this season. I also think that the Foxes have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks and if they can be more efficient than Fulham were at taking their chances, they should be able to find a way through.

I think both teams scoring looks a likely outcome. That pick is generally at a price of 8/11 on various bookmakers and so the 4/5 that is available for the same selection looks to be the one that stands out. I’ll happily back this for 1.5 points in total.
