We witnessed a thriller between these two outfits just over a fortnight ago as Manchester City came from 2-0 down to win 4-2 and we could be in for another high scoring clash on Sunday.

Joao Cancelo’s loan to Bayern Munich was met with confusion and rumours were rife about the defender’s attitude. However, since the Portuguese moved on, defender John Stones has picked up an injury and it leaves Pep with some thinking to do.

His side, whilst still prolific going forward, have looked easier to score against this term and that is evident by the fact that they have conceded in over half of their away league outings so far.

Spurs have bounced back from the reverse fixture by winning their following two matches to nil. The Lilywhites have gotten on the scoresheet in eight of their 10 league home matches and against a Manchester City defence that doesn’t look resolute, they’ll feel confident of contributing to the score count.

With Harry Kane and Erling Haaland on the field, you have to favour goals and I like the look of both teams scoring but for the match to produce three or more goals in total.

Betting Tip: Spurs double chance

There’s something about Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium that doesn’t suit Manchester City. or at least that’s the feeling considering the visitors have failed to even score here let alone win.

As well as that, somewhat uncharacteristically, City are on a run of two straight away defeats and whilst it seems unthinkable they could lose a third, they have struggled here in the past.

Manchester City were a best price of 61/100 to win this fixture last season and ended up losing the match 1-0 as Son Heung-Min’s second half strike was enough to clinch it. They’re a best price of 3/4 this time around but I'd argue this is closer than the prices suggest and for me, there’s value to be had on Tottenham.

I’m not suggesting they win this clash, but backing them on the double chance market and still getting over double your money makes plenty of appeal.
