Bayern Munich v Borussia Monchengladbach – Saturday 17:30, BT Sport Europe
Bayern Munich ended a three-game winless run by hitting four past PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday. They dropped points at home for just the third time since the start of last season when drawing with one of this season’s surprise packages FC Koln on the weekend. Previous to that they’d won 19 of 21 on home soil, where they remain quite the force.
However, Monchengladbach have been somewhat of a bogey side for Bayern in recent years as they’ve been unbeaten against the champions in the last two seasons (W2-D2). Moreover, they’ve lost just one of their last five trips to the Allianz Arena. However, their recent away form doesn’t stack up very well with just one win in their last 14, losing nine of these and shipping eight goals in their first three on the road this term.
Arjen Robben scored for the second time in as many games in midweek and his return to match fitness is a major boost for the Bavarians. Bayern have scored 64 times at home since the start of last season so there should be plenty of opportunity for the Dutchman to make it three in a row. With this in mind we’ll back the Robben to score/Bayern win Double
