Heerenveen v PSV - Saturday 18:45
After a disappointing campaign that saw them finish down in 12th last term, Heerenveen look set to get back in the top-half this season as they’ve won their last four games to climb up to 4th. Champions PSV bounced back from a harsh home defeat against leaders Feyenoord by winning 3-1 at Excelsior, though they were held to a 2-2 draw at Rostov in the Champions League in midweek.
Heerenveen lost seven of their 17 home games last term, but they’ve picked up seven points from their three games at the Abe Lenstra Stadion so far this season. However, when hosting top-three teams they’re just W2-D2-L5 since 2013/14 as they conceded at least twice in seven of these games. Furthermore, four of their five defeats were by more than one goal as four of these games saw more than four goals.
PSV have now remarkably won their last 13 road games, leading at the break in 10 of the last 11 and scoring more than twice in eight of the last nine. With that in mind, we’re backing PSV/PSV Half Time/Full Time and we’re also going to have a punt on PSV to win and Over 4.5 Goals given Heerenveen’s propensity for high-scoring games when hosting the big boys.
