Alaves v Granada - Monday 19:45, Sky Sports 5
Promoted Alaves suffered their first defeat of the season in midweek as they were beaten 2-1 at Valencia, but they’ve nonetheless had an excellent start to the campaign after they managed a point at Atletico and recorded a spectacular win at the Nou Camp. Granada, meanwhile, are still searching for their first win after they won three of their final five games last term to keep themselves in the division, and they look set to have another relegation battle on their hands this time around.
Both Alaves’s home games this season have been goalless draws, continuing their ‘unders’ trend from the Segunda where 29 of their 42 games last term saw fewer than three goals, while 18 had fewer than two. Indeed, they kept Barca and Atletico to just a goal apiece and as a result look set to be a very tough side to break down.
Conversely, both teams have netted in all five of Granada’s games this term as they’ve already shipped seven in their two road games at Betis and Las Palmas. Indeed, they’ve lost nine of their last 13 on the road and as a result we’re backing Alaves to continue their impressive start to the season and win to nil.
