NY Red Bulls v Montreal Impact - Sunday 00.00, Sky Sports 3
While the European leagues are just kicking off, the MLS is in full flow and both these sides are in decent positions in the Eastern Conference, with the Red Bulls four points off their city rivals, whilst Impact are also four points back but with two games in hand.
The Red Bulls won the regular season in 2015 but a disastrous start to this campaign, that saw them lose six of their first seven, means they’ve had plenty of ground to catch up. However, they’ve now lost only three of their last 17 and have won seven of their last eight at home, conceding just once in their last seven. Montreal, meanwhile, have drawn nine of their last 15 and six of their last seven on the road as they’ve managed just one clean sheet in their 11 away games this season.
Now that they’re returning to the Red Bull Arena, we expect New York to get back to winning ways here and since they’ve been so strong defensively at home, we’re backing them to win without conceding. Bradley Wright-Phillips bagged a brace in their last home game and after a slow start to the campaign he’s got seven in his last eight home appearances, so the former Saints man looks worth supporting in the goalscorer markets.
