The hosts have lost three of their last four matches so can they bounce back on Sunday?
Kansas City v LA Galaxy - Sunday 19:00, Sky Sports 5
Kansas City have lost three of their last four matches in all competitions following a mid-week defeat to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the CONCACAF Champions League. They conceded an equaliser in the final seconds against bottom club Houston at home last weekend to deny them their seventh consecutive win at home, meaning they’ve now won just one of their last five MLS games. However, despite this slight dip in form they have enough room to breathe in 5th in the Western Conference as the race for playoff spots hots up.
LA Galaxy’s 4-2 victory over Orlando last weekend meant they maintained their place behind leaders FC Dallas, trailing them by four points. They’ve lost just four times all season and just once in their last 16 but each of those defeats have come on the road where their record reads W3-D7-L4, with no win in four.
With Kansas struggling for consistency and Galaxy somewhat unreliable on the road, we’re going to avoid the match outcome markets in this one. Instead we’ll have a punt on Giovanni Dos Santos to score anytime and continue his hot streak. The Mexican has seven in as many games, including five in his last three and the former Spurs man is 3.6 to strike again.
