A narrow away win looks the value call in Sunday's solitary Premier League encounter.
Middlesbrough v Chelsea - Sunday 16:00, Sky Sports 1
The international break came at the wrong time for Middlesbrough who have gone three games unbeaten, a victory over Bournemouth sandwiched by draws against title challengers Arsenal and Man City. They’ve been tough to break down, with only one of their four defeats this season by more than a single goal. However, they rode their luck at times against City, especially in the first half, as well as salvaging the point with a late equalizer. One imagines Chelsea will be less forgiving and with their new-found defensive sturdiness coupled with Middlesbrough’s goal scoring issues (they’ve scored just seven in nine), it’s unlikely they’ll be offered a route back into the game should they fall behind.
Antonio Conte’s men are running riot at the moment, winning each of their last five top-flight outings, scoring 16 and conceding none. Eden Hazard has been back to his devastating best and looks well priced at 2.6 to score anytime with five goals in four games.
Middlesbrough have only won once in nine matches and at home have lost three of the last four. Given how well Chelsea are playing at the moment, it is difficult to see how the hosts can prevent defeat here and the win to nil is certainly an option. However, there have been fewer than three goals in each of Boro’s last five matches and so we’re not convinced they’ll get absolutely battered. As a result, we think the value lies in backing Chelsea/under 2.5 goals at 3.75.100% Bonus Up to £200
