Leicester v Middlesbrough - Saturday 15:00

Leicester continue to look like a different team in the Premier League than in the Champions League, where they dispatched Club Brugge to seal a place in the last 16 as group winners, after consecutive defeats against Watford and West Brom. The result against the latter ended an unbeaten streak of 20 games at home, and their form at the King Power Stadium looks set to be crucial this year having lost five out of six on the road, leaving them just two points above the relegation zone.

Middlesbrough certainly won’t play to Leicester’s strengths. Aitor Karanka’s side are tough to break down and as a result often end up in low scoring encounters, with fewer than three goals in each of their last six. They were a little unlucky against Chelsea last week, losing 1-0, which considering the form of Antonio Conte’s side is a perfectly respectable result. The onus will be on the Foxes to take the initiative here, thus leaving them unable to rely on their preferred counter-attacking strategy, and this could lead to a drab game. p>

Middlesbrough have drawn four of their last five away games, with their last two impressively coming against Arsenal and Man City, and have drawn the first half in 10 of their last 13 road trips. With Leicester having played midweek and Boro’s stubborn defence (only Southampton have conceded less goals this season outside the current top five), we’re backing Leicester’s Premier League struggles to continue, at least early on, with a half-time draw.
