Bournemouth v Liverpool – Sunday 16:30, Sky Sports

Bournemouth have been steadily climbing the table since their awful start to the season but they’ve generally found the best teams a little too good. Five of the current top half have come to Bournemouth this season and the home side has managed to pick up just one point. The Cherries haven’t been beaten by much though as three of the four defeats were by a single goal.

With Liverpool’s attack looking incredibly dangerous given any space it promises to be another tough day for Eddie Howe’s side. The Reds have won their last six trips to bottom-half teams and they were ahead at half-time in the last five while they’ve scored at least three in the last four. However, their defence is still vulnerable and in eight away matches this season they’ve conceded 17 times while keeping just one clean sheet. The straight win looks about fair at 1.5 but for some better value we fancy Liverpool to win with both teams scoring.

Liverpool and BTTS - 1pt @ 2/1

Seven of Liverpool’s last nine away matches have had at least four goals with six having five or more. This fixture ended 4-3 last year and with Bournemouth looking more dangerous going forward in recent weeks with Callum Wilson and Junior Stanislas returning to fitness, Over 3.5 Goals looks excellent value.

Over 3.5 Goals - 1pt @ 28/17

Part of Bournemouth’s improvement up front has been Jermaine Defoe looking sharper and he’ll be looking forward to this after scoring a brace for Sunderland against Liverpool last season and also scoring at Anfield the term before. Up against Dejan Lovren we fancy Defoe to score at some point.
