Dundee v Rangers - Saturday 1215, BT Sport 1
Rangers are finally back in the top division to renew their rivalry with Celtic after a four year absence and after drawing their opening game against Hamilton, they’ll be keen to get their first win here. Dundee won their opener at Ross County, but finished down in 7th last season and as a result The Gers are strong favourites for this one.
Dundee’s home record last season was W7-D7-L5, but they lost three of the four of these that were against top-three sides, netting just once. Rangers were dominant on the road in the Championship, winning nine of their opening 13 before taking their foot of the gas somewhat towards the end of the campaign. They’ve also won their opening two League Cup away clashes this season without conceding.
What’s more, The Gers have an excellent head-to-head record against The Dee, winning their last eight meetings in all competitions whilst conceding just two goals. As a result, we’re backing Mark Walburton’s men to get their first win of the season and to keep a clean sheet while they’re at it at odds of 11/5.
