Just the one betting heat today in the form of the Classic Chase and I’m keen on a few near the top of the market. In particular, Midnight Prayer who looks a well treated horse based upon his Cheltenham win which had the likes of Shutthefrontdoor in behind. He shaped very encouragingly at Newbury over too sharp a trip on return from a break and he’s a course winner who likes this sort of ground. I struggle to see him not involved. As far as the bigger prices go, Red Devil Lads could be worth chancing having unseated in the Welsh National. He didn’t jump great at Chepstow and I’m not sure he really liked the track. A return to a sharper circuit will suit his front running style and I fancy he’s still well treated. He shaped well on reappearance at Ludlow and if you look back to the form of his Ffos Las win at the end of last season there should be plenty more to come.
