Tom Gilmore is in belting form at the moment and he's got another five crackers for Thursday.
Kyneton R4 No.5 - SEE ME FLY
Could be a nice style of horse this, debuted back in August last year and acquitted himself well behind a smart one who went on to run well at Stakes level in town, also beat home Lizard Island (ran 2nd in G1 Caulfield Guineas!). Has also jumped out well at Flemington in preparation for his return, wide draw no issues as they'll roll forward. Good horse who'll be winning.
Kyneton R8 No.3 - THE SPITFIRE
Thought his win at Geelong three weeks ago was dominant, was put into the one-one and peeled at the bend to sprint away from them with ease in the end. Ran decent enough time for the day and looking at this race it really doesnt look any harder. Gets the lovely smother from gate 3 and should again be able to run through the line nicely his final two furlongs.
Pakenham R3 No.11 - WITHTHEMOST (each-way)
She was something beaten first-up when a noted drifter, was put into an awkward spot and never likely until late. Hit the line well though and looked like a filly that would improve for the outing. Dont mind her drawing out on a big track either as I reckon she might need some room to wind up through her gears, will run a big race at a price.
Pakenham R8 No.5 - FIDEL ASTRO
Thought his first-up run at Geelong over the 1100m was excellent, hit the line nicely whilst having an interrupted passage through. Has been given four weeks to get over the run and the progression to 1400m looks ideal. Draws to sit a pair closer in the run and should be savaging the post in the final 200m. He has enough class to look after this lot, will measure up in town at some point.
Rockhampton R1 No.1 - CRAIGLEA EVELYN (NAP)
Flogged them on a bog track here two weeks ago and in my view is still a better horse on top of the ground (gets that today). Only rises 1.5kgs for the win (relative weights still in well!) and he draws the inside alley. Should lead and again prove far too good for them.
