The first mover of the day is BIG TIME DANCER. The 3yo made all at Beverley a week ago on his debut for Brian Ellison and should be up to defying a penalty dropping down a grade. 7/4 on first showing last night, punters have backed him into odds-on in places with Evens available with some firms.
Next up is ANDALUSITE in the 0-60 handicap. Narrowly beaten over this trip on her penultimate outing at Chelmsford City she now drops in grade after finishing midfield over 6f at Wolverhampton latest. Jim Crowley is a positive jockey booking and the market suggests a big run is on the card. 7/1 last night, 7/2 is currently the best price on offer.
Finally, in the opener at Chepstow DIABLE D’OR has been backed as if defeat is out of the question. Rated 83, the Eve Johnson Houghton trained 2yo should be more than capable of opening his account in what looks a weak race. A fourth in the Super Sprint at Newbury last month is his best effort to date and he’ll take the beating if running anywhere near that level. Already an odds-on favourite on opening last night, he's been back in from 8/13 to as short as 1/4.
Up in Scotland KINLOCH PRIDE has seen plenty of support. Despite still being a maiden after 18 starts, the 4yo has run some decent races in defeat of late including over C&D. As big as 9/1 last night, the 4yo has been backed into as short as 4/1 in places.
