Southwell Sunday 13:30 Bramley Apple Handicap
JAY KAY arrives on a hat-trick after victories over 1m at Ayr and is rated 2lb lower than when landing the latest of them now switching surfaces. Also a course winner, Karl Burke's charge thus makes plenty of appeal this afternoon. House Of Commons has place claims now cutting back in drop after fading over 1m2f at Redcar and is now rated 3lb lower than when scoring here in January. Monsieur Jimmy won nicely over 7f here in August and is also respected.
Prediction: 1st Jay Kay, 2nd House Of Commons, 3rd Monsieur Jimmy
Southwell Sunday 14:00 bookies.com Free Bets Handicap
Quiet Moment is only 3lb higher than when scoring in the mud at Ayr last time and is expected to be thereabouts if getting into a workable early position from a wide draw. Narrow preference, however, is for BREAKING FREE, who looked in need of a stiffer test when second over 7f here in August and is 1lb lower if he can now improve on that effort over this longer trip. The eased-in-grade Queen Moon is considered the pick of the remainder.
Prediction: 1st Breaking Free, 2nd Quiet Moment, 3rd Queen Moon

The well tried MAMA AFRICA is sure to be involved and is backed to break her duck here with Jane Elliott back in the saddle. Know The Truth is respected for top handler Andrew Balding and she could be the next best in this contest, while the claims of Bo Selecta can't be ignored having got within half a length of getting off the mark last time.
Prediction: 1st Mama Africa, 2nd Know The Truth, 3rd Bo Selecta
Southwell Sunday 15:05 Richard Gibson Memorial Handicap
HAMMER GUN returns from a break having struggled to an extent on his last couple of starts but, more importantly, he has a 100 percent strike rate at Southwell (3-3) and may have more improvement to come on this surface. Supersta has dropped down the handicap and is respected with Luke Morris in the saddle, while course specialist Alpha Tauri is another worthy of consideration.
Prediction: 1st Hammer Gun, 2nd Supersta, 3rd Alpha Tauri

A lot of these arrive here having shown very little of late so the tentative vote goes to VERY FIRST BLADE, who has course winning form and is down to a mark he could easily bounce back to form off. Rafaaf was fourth at Windsor on his latest start and is a player back on the all-weather, while Coiste Bodhar and Sarabi represent a trainer than enjoys targeting this track in Scott Dixon.
Prediction: 1st Very First Blade, 2nd Rafaaf, 3rd Coiste Bodhar
Southwell Sunday 16:10 bookmakers.co.uk Free Bets Handicap (Div 2)
Quadriga is the only one in the field to have any winning form but he needs to improve plenty on his last couple of efforts. Tasaaboq is in decent enough form and is reunited with Nicola Currie who takes a useful 7lb off his back. Be Bold coud easily bounce back to form but the vote goes to EXCELLENT WORLD, who has first-time cheekpieces and could improve having shaped well on his only course start.
Prediction: 1st Excellent World, 2nd Tasaaboq, 3rd Be Bold
Southwell Sunday 16:40 Jigsaw Sports Branding Handicap
Southwell specialist Piazon excels over this track and trip, having got his head in front here four times in the last 12 months. He is sure to be involved once again despite a career-high mark. However, a chance is taken on Derbyshire handler John Mackie making a successful raid across the border to Nottinghamshire with AYRESOME ANGEL, who is back to the same mark he was second off at Nottingham earlier this summer, and his handler was in the winner's enclosure earlier this week. Musharrif is respected and could be able to concede weight all round, while Noah Amor could return to form now tried on Fibresand.
Prediction: 1st Ayresome Angel, 2nd Piazon, 3rd Musharrif

Topamichi has to be respected with the venue's leading handler Mick Appleby about to kick into gear. Course and distance winner Stand Guard is considered despite struggling last time, and My Renaissance is very much of interest back at the scene of his last Flat victory. However preference is for Brian Ellison's SERENITY NOW, who often saves his best efforts for this venue and last scored on the level here off a mark just 2lb higher than today.
Prediction: 1st Serenity Now, 2nd My Renaissance, 3rd Topamichi
