Robsdelight has to be respected following his second-placed finish at Doncaster last month, where Tilghman finished fourth and Prevent was two places further back in sixth. That said, the son of Harbour Watch finds himself in a tougher race this afternoon. Ballyquin, Elhafei, Epaulement and Ibraz are others who displayed plenty of promise on their respective debuts and they should all improve for that experience. One who lacks race practice is AURUM, but he represents a yard who do extremely well with their newcomers. The son of Exceed And Excel is a full-brother to the Group 3 winner Rouleau as well as a half-brother to the Group 1 winner Amadeus Wolf.
Prediction : 1st Aurum 2nd Epaulement 3rd Elhafei

This appears to be the slightly weaker of the two divisions and the nod goes to HISTORY WRITER, who caught the eye as a potential big improver when finishing third in a very competitive maiden at Sandown back in September. Based on that evidence it would be no surprise to see the son of Canford Cliffs make up into a decent performer this year and the only worry would be stable form. Porth Swtan hit the crossbar on multiple occasions as a juvenile and he should be in the mix once again today. Global Art, Jawwaal and Bacacarat should all win races this year but may find life easier in handicap company after this run. Calendimaggio, a half-brother to Gregorian, is a newcomer to note, along with Mutafani and Stormer.
Prediction : 1st History Writer 2nd Porth Swtan 3rd Jawwaal

This race usually goes the way of an above-average juvenile and it is without doubt the best two-year-old race to be run in the UK so far this season. I Am A Dreamer and Ynys Mon both have to be respected given their previous experience but, while they should both improve, others make more appeal for win purposes. Van Beethoven will be popular in the market given his connections and the fact that he is by the late Scat Daddy. That said, Aidan O'Brien's juveniles tend to need the run and he could be vulnerable. With that in mind, the preference is for BALLISTIC, who has a lot of speed in his pedigree. Robert Cowell's colt cost 180,000 euros as a yearling and his dam was a multiple winner over 5f/6f, while she is a half-sister to the Prix Maurice de Gheest second Thawaany. He is unusually bred because his is by Kodiac and out of an Invincible Spirit mare and those two are half-brothers, but that cross has already had some success. Aloysius Lilius is the first foal out of a 5f winner, while Jackstar is another of note.
Prediction : 1st Ballistic 2nd I Am A Dreamer 3rd Van Beethoven

Purser has an official rating of 102 and he confirmed his wellbeing by finishing fourth in a Listed race at Newcastle late last month. That said, the form of that Listed heat does not appear to be the strongest and the preference is for SYMBOLIZATION. Charlie Appleby's colt finished second in a maiden on the July course that has worked out extremely well on his debut and he proved that was no fluke by winning on his next start. The lack of a recent run is not a concern, given his connections, and the son of Cape Cross appears to have a very bright future ahead of him. The rest have some sort of chance but Stormbringer is the pick of them.
Prediction : 1st Symbolization 2nd Purser 3rd Stormbringer

Fire Brigade was disappointing when well beaten in the Lincoln last time out but an improved performance can be expected on this better ground. That said, he will struggle to confirm his Silver Cambridgeshire form with CHIEFOFCHIEFS, who is 13lb better off for just over two lengths. Charlie Fellowes' representative progressed well last season and he remains lightly raced for a horse of his age, while a gelding operation over the winter may bring about further improvement. Almoreb is another who had a productive year in 2017 and the fact that he won on his seasonal return 12 months ago is an obvious positive. However, Jim Crowley prefers Mafaaheem and he appears to be a type who should continue to get better with age.
Prediction : 1st Chiefofchiefs 2nd Mafaaheem 3rd Fire Brigade

MILDENBERGER ended a juvenile campaign - which saw him win a Listed race at Salisbury - with a third-placed finish in the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes over 1m here in September. That form is rock solid with the winner only going down by a neck in the Racing Post Trophy a few weeks later, while the second won the Ballysax at the weekend. Kew Gardens beat a stablemate of the selection in the Zetland Stakes here in October but he may be slightly flattered by a mark of 110 and he has to give the selection 3lb. Stage Magic was disappointing when last seen at Chantilly but he did account for a useful rival in a Group 3 at the same venue the time before that. John Gosden has won two of the last three renewals of this race and that makes the Nottingham maiden winner Msayyan of interest today.
Prediction : 1st Mildenberger 2nd Kew Gardens 3rd Stage Magic

INSHIRAAH has a very attractive profile and showed a liking for this place, albeit on the July course, when notching two wins and a three-parts of a length third last year. Despite being raised a further 10lb for her latest success, she still looks well enough treated off 96 and gets the vote to make a winning return. Medahim's record over 7f reads 223 and the first-time gelding should be in the mix again, while Medieval, Juanito Chico and Mjjack are others to keep an eye on.
Prediction : 1st Inshiraah 2nd Medahim 3rd Medieval

Storm Over and Major Jumbo both ended last year on a high and must be considered on their respective returns, while Move In Time should go close if reproducing the form of his half-length defeat at Newcastle. Preference, however, is for the top-rated EVERGATE. He is entitled to strip fitter for his comeback run at Kempton and will appreciate swapping class 2 company for a class 3, the same grade in which he was touched off at Ascot two starts ago.
Prediction : 1st Evergate 2nd Storm Over 3rd Major Jumbo
