Oddschecker tips for every race at Newbury on Thursday.
SERGIO LEONE has been a bit disappointing in his last couple of starts but the three-year-old still brings solid form to the table. A mark of 76 should be workable and the booking of Simon Walker also catches the eye. Oud Metha Bridge has proven to be very consistent in 2018 and he should be in the mix once again, while Cayuga and Hawridge Glory should also be noted. Prediction : 1st Sergio Leone 2nd Oud Metha Bridge 3rd Cayuga
FOX COACH only found an experience rival narrowly too good when finishing second on his debut at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago. With that run now under his belt he should take plenty of beating. Champion Brogie displayed minor promise at Windsor and is the pick of the remainder with experience but the main threat to the selection may come from the newcomers. Boitron cost 45,000 euros as a yearling and is out of a Group 1-placed dam, while Grenadier is closely related to a couple of black-type performers. Prediction : 1st Fox Coach 2nd Boitron 3rd Champion Brogie
This is not the strongest novice race that will be run at Newbury this year but it is an ideal opportunity for STARCHANT to earn her first victory. The daughter of Gregorian has shown improvement with every start to date and she was only denied by a neck at Windsor 10 days ago. Pont Vert should improve for her first race, which came over this C&D late last month, and she appears to be the best of the rest. Any market support for Dawn Affair, Dotty Grand or I'lletyougonow would have to be noted. Prediction : 1st Starchant 2nd Pont Vert 3rd Illetyougonow
SWEET CHARITY accounted for a subsequent winner when she won at Leicester in May and she was not disgraced when finishing last of four at Salisbury last time out. A mark of 78 may still underestimate this filly and she should be capable of winning at this level. Bodes Well put in a career best last time out and is an interesting handicap debutant, while Flight Of Fantasy and Never Surrender also make the shortlist. Prediction : 1st Sweet Charity 2nd Bodes Well 3rd Flight Of Fantasy
ORANGE SUIT returns to the scene of his debut success having finished fourth behind Loxley on his most recent start at Newmarket in May. He pulled hard on that occasion so there is every chance he'll take a fair step forward from that outing and prove capable of defying his penalty. Ben Vrackie comes from a good family which includes Group 3 winner Berkshire and is respected on his first start, while Monoxide and Armed both have solid form which gives them a chance.Prediction : 1st Orange Suit 2nd Ben Vrackie 3rd Monoxide
SEINESATIONAL has clearly improved for racing on fast ground having won his last two outings at both Windsor and Brighton, improving 11lb for those efforts, and the son of Champs Elysees could yet have more to come with the extra furlong likely to be in his favour. Outofthequestion built on some promising efforts with a win here over 1m3f last time and he has to be considered along with Cross My Mind, a winner 10 days ago at Windsor.Prediction : 1st Seinesational 2nd Outofthequestion 3rd Cross My Mind
HARRY BEAU couldn't have won any easier when taking a Chepstow handicap by seven lengths nine days ago and he is very much the one they all have to beat coming into this 2lb well-in under a 6lb penalty. Nick Vedder has gone very close to winning on his last couple of starts and has to be considered once again, while the drop back in trip should benefit Skydiving on the evidence of his Nottingham effort last time where he was fourth behind Tahreek.Prediction : 1st Harry Beau 2nd Nick Vedder 3rd Skydiving
