GRAPHITE STORM has made the frame on his last two starts and those performances suggest that he can win a race of this nature off his current mark. Presidential has to be respected following his victory in a big-field handicap at Newmarket a week ago, although a 6lb rise in the ratings will make his life tougher. Others to note are Withernsea, Tangled and King's Pavilion.
Prediction : 1st Graphite Storm 2nd Presidential 3rd Kings Pavilion

DAZZLING DAN has been unfortunate to bump into a pair of high-class rivals when finishing second on his last two starts. On the first of those occasions he chased home the subsequent Middle Park runner-up Jash, while more recently the son of Dandy Man only found the Acomb second Watan too good. A reproduction of either of those efforts would make him very hard to beat this afternoon. Night Secret didn't build on her promising debut last time out but it is far too soon to be writing her off, while Speed King is a newcomer to note being a half-brother to the high-class sprinter Desert Law and out of a Listed-winning mare.
Prediction : 1st Dazzling Dan 2nd Night Secret 3rd Speed King

Chatham House arguably sets the standard, but the form of his third-placed finish at Redcar last time out is mixed and he can be taken on with HERO HERO. Andrew Balding's colt cost 325,000 euros as a yearling and his sire No Nay Never has made an outstanding start to his career as a stallion. The Night Watch is another interesting newcomer being out of the dual Group 3 winner Scarlet Runner, while City Tour, Edgewood and Defence Treaty are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Hero Hero 2nd The Night Watch 3rd Chatham House

MAID TO REMEMBER appears to be coming back to the boil and hinted her turn was fast approaching when runner-up in a similar contest at Newmarket last time. Isabella returned to form when third in this company over 1m5f at Lingfield earlier in the month and she has place possibilities here, though bigger dangers may be grade dropper Queen of Time and progressive Irish raider Bona Fide, a Frankel filly who impressed in a Gowran handicap latest.
Prediction : 1st Maid To Remember 2nd Bona Fide 3rd Queen of Time

DONJUAN TRIUMPHANT has turned in creditable efforts in the Sprint Cup (fourth) and Champions Sprint (third) the last twice and rates the one to beat now eased into Listed company. C&D winner Eirene was narrowly denied in a 7f Group 3 here in September and has each-way possibilities, with any rain likely to boost her winning chance. Laugh A Minute has been off the track since finishing second behind a subsequent Group 3 winner at Deauville in August and he is worth a market check, while it would come as no surprise to see Librisa Breeze, a regular Group 1 performer this term, take a hand now his sights have been lowered.
Prediction : 1st Donjuan Triumphant 2nd Laugh A Minute 3rd Eirene

14:45 Doncaster

SHADY MCCOY was thwarted by half a length at Leicester last month and is expected to show up well again turned out off the same mark. Fire Brigade makes some appeal on his 1m Ayr second two starts ago and is one to consider now cutting back in trip. The reliable Lord Oberon was outpaced when second over 6f at Haydock last time and is interesting now stepping up in distance, while recent Listed third Great Prospector could also take a hand if running to a similar level back in a handicap.
Prediction : 1st Shady Mccoy 2nd Fire Brigade 3rd Lord Oberon

15:15 Doncaster

BUZZ got his nose in front over a 1m2f distance that would have been short enough at Newbury last time and Hughie Morrison's four-year-old makes plenty of appeal back at what appears his optimum trip off a 5lb higher mark. Temple Church, Not So Sleepy and Fun Mac are others with possibilities for the mob-handed Morrison team, while Stargazer could be a live outsider for the in-form Philip Kirby. Ian Williams won this race last season and his Restorer arrives in fine fettle looking to repeat the fete for his Worcestershire handler following a recent win at Leicester. Royal Line has been hit with a 10lb rise for his Epsom triumph in the spring but can't be discounted representing powerful connections, with Birds Of Prey also noted on his first start following wind surgery.
Prediction : 1st Buzz 2nd Restorer 3rd Royal Line

15:50 Doncaster

SHALLOW HAL was an impressive six-length winner when making it two in a row at Pontefract last month and just a 3lb rise for that triumph could prove lenient as he looks to complete the hat-trick. She Can Boogie is another looking to extend her winning run having bravely scored twice over five furlongs at Nottingham and is interesting stepping up in trip. The best may not yet have been seen from John Gosden's St Peter's Basilica, who is related to a whole host of winning sprinters, while Dream of Honour was only beaten half a length at York last time and cheekpieces can aid improvement here. Sylvia's Mother is also noted following a fine run of form.
Prediction : 1st Shallow Hal 2nd She Can Boogie 3rd St Peters Basilica
