Hampton Court Stakes

MOHAAFETH was withdrawn from the Derby at the last hour and has been well backed today following the going report at Ascot being good to firm. The three-year-old colt is three from three so far this season. His latest success was his best yet, when cruising home in a Listed race at Newmarket at the start of May. It was a very taking run and if he can produce similar today, he may be hard to beat.

Ribblesdale Stakes

NOON STAR was second behind Snowfall in the Musidora last month and that run looks far better now given Snowfall’s demolition job in the Oaks since. Sir Michael Stoute’s three-year-old won in smart fashion on her first start this term at Wetherby, putting the race to bed with ease. She should relish stepping up to the 1m4f trip today and is being well backed to land the Ribblesdale Stakes.

Ascot Gold Cup

STRADIVARIUS is bidding for a fourth consecutive Gold Cup and is being strongly supported this morning following less rain than anticipated overnight. The superstar stayer was in fine form on his seasonal reappearance at the track in April, showing he still possessed all his talent. His victory in this race last year was incredibly impressive, bolting up by 10 lengths. Punters expect more of the same today.
