We reveal the three most backed horses on the third day of Glorious Goodwood.
EBRO RIVER is the most backed horse in the Richmond Stakes for a trainer in good form. The two-year-old was last seen in the July Stakes when running a solid race, finishing a close fourth. Previously, he was very impressive when winning a Listed Content at Sandown in May, putting the race to bed with an eye-catching turn of foot. Hugo Palmer has had six winners from his last 13 runners and punters fancy Ebro River to continue that hot streak this afternoon.
WILDERNESS GIRL is strongly fancied by oddschecker users in the penultimate race at Goodwood today after a pleasing debut effort earlier this month. The filly stayed on well in the closing stages to finish fourth at Newmarket. That looks the best piece of form on offer here out of the horses who have been seen on the racetrack.
TWLIGHT CALLS has had a fantastic season to date, with two victories from three starts. His latest win was at the Newmarket July meeting, when producing a brilliant effort to win a strong looking five furlong handicap. He won very comfortably in the end and a 7lb rise may still yet underestimate him. Punters will be hoping the ground continues to dry out for the colt and if he produces a similar performance to last time out, he could be very hard to beat.
