Aidan O'Brien's inmate was cut from 40/1 into as short as 8/1 after winning the Hampton Court Stakes.
Bookies have been quick to cut Russian Emperor from 40/1 into as short as 8/1 for the Epsom Derby following his win at Royal Ascot.
Ryan Moore left it until the last few strides to power past Berlin Tango and First Receiver and grab his 60th Royal Ascot winner in the Hampton Court Stakes.
That performance led to a big move in the Derby market, as Russian Emperor’s best price fell from 40/1 to 12/1 shortly afterwards.
That puts Aidan O’Brien’s three-year-old into fourth in the market currently. English King (4/1) remains favourite with most bookies, while 2000 Guineas winner Kameko (4/1) is second. Godolphin colt Military March follows at 6/1.
