The Texas Rangers have had a rough few years. The Arlington-based franchise hasn’t finished with a record at .500 or better since 2016. They won 95 games to lead the AL that year. They haven’t so much as come in second in the AL West since.

It’s true that the Rangers lost some talent. Elvis Andrus and Lance Lynn were both traded away. However, the young talent behind them now has a chance to make an impact. Most notably, Dane Dunning and Isiah Kiner-Falefa. The Rangers also added young first baseman Nate Lowe from the Tampa Bay Rays.

Their roster isn’t going to blow anyone away with their top-end talent. However, there’s enough young talent on the team for the Rangers to surprise. In a division as week as the AL West, they have a chance to shock the world.
