Dodgers World Series Odds: Los Angeles Heavy Favorites After Busy Offseason

The Los Angeles Dodgers are good. I know, that's not really going out on a limb but it needed to be said. For the past nine years, the Dodgers have found their way to the playoffs including the 2020 World Series and two other NL pennants to go along with it.

After winning 106 games before bowing out in the NLCS in six games, the Dodgers are expected to be dominant once again in 2022. Here's what the oddsmakers have to say about the Dodgers World Series odds.

At +550, the Dodgers are given a 15.38 percent to win the World Series. The Astros, who are the next closest are given a 9.09 percent chance. That's an insane difference between the first and the second team with the best odds.

After signing Freddie Freeman this week, the Dodgers lineup is stacked with the likes of Mookie Betts, Justin Turner, Max Muncy, Will Smith, Cody Bellinger, etc. That doesn't even get to the rotation. Even after losing Max Scherzer to the Mets, they still have a top three of Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, and Clayton Kershaw. That's inane.

Today, they added Danny Duffy for depth to the starters as he pitched to a 2.51 ERA last year in 12 starts with the Royals. They're about as close as you can get to a super team in baseball.

Los Angeles is at -185 to win the NL West, with the Padres the next closest at +325. Essentially, you can already print the playoff merchandise already. It's just about how far they go now and many think it ends with another title.
