This is the day teams will have a chance to do their last moves for veterans or prospects before the trade deadline ends. This falls on a Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET. Although the listed time is 6 p.m. ET we've learned that some deals still trickle through the wire in the hours following the deadline.
The new collective bargaining agreement allows for the trade deadline window to be placed anytime between July 28-August 3. The trade deadline is still 6 weeks away but it's never too soon to start speculating what might happen when August 2 is here. Some potential players that could be on the move are names like Frankie Montas, Luis Castillo, Nelson Cruz, and Willson Contreras.
