Luis Castillo Next Team Odds: Yankees, Blue Jays Among Most Likely Teams to Trade for Castillo
Luis Castillo is a veteran starter, still in his prime, on a team going nowhere fast in Cincinnati. Castillo, who was an All-Star for the second time in his career this season is pitching to a 2.77 ERA in 13 starts.
Now in his sixth year in the league, Castillo has a career ERA of a respectable 3.62 but has been hurt by playing on teams that have really struggled outside the shortened 2020 season and 2021 season.
With Cincinnati looking to go full rebuild, moving Castillo at the MLB Trade Deadline seems to be a wise decision. Where will he end up? Here's what the Luis Castillo Next Team odds have to say about that.

Yankees +300 (Bet $100 to win $300)
The Yankees are the favorites to land Luis Castillo according to his next team odds. When looking at this Yankees team you know the lineup is stacked but if there's one thing that can put them in the driver's seat even more it would be an additional starter.
You're confident in Nestor Cortes and Gerrit Cole getting the ball in a playoff game but after that their best option is probably Jordan Montgomery. Montgomery is fine but Castillo is more of a sure thing in a big spot. Adding depth to this pitching staff would be huge for Brian Cashman.
Blue Jays +350 (Bet $100 to win $350)
The Blue Jays have been hot winning six games in a row but likely will be a Wild Card team because of the division they play in. When looking at their starters Alex Manoah and Kevin Gausman have been excellent but outside of that, it's been...interesting.
Jose Berrios has stunk pitching to a 5.22 ERA and has allowed the most homers in the league this year. Ross Stripling has gone back and forth between the rotation and the bullpen and Hyun Jin Ryu is injured. An addition of Castillo would certainly help the middle of this rotation which desperately needs pitching depth to compete in October.
