Aaron Judge Odds: Judge Given a 60% Chance to Win the American League Triple Crown

History. Last night, in Toronto, Aaron Judge hit his 61st home run of the season which pulls him into a tie with Roger Maris for the lead in American League history.

Many look at 61 as the real record as Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and Sammy Sosa have their records tainted by steroid use so this is a massive deal as Judge continues to crush homers.

In addition to all his home runs, Judge is still looking to win the American League triple crown. Sportsbooks have odds on it and they are giving him a 60% chance to win the triple crown.

Aaron Judge Odds Breakdown

Aaron Judge is given a 60% to be the American League triple crown winner. For those that don't know, a triple crown is when one player leads the league in batting average, home runs, and RBI. It's extremely rare as the last player to do it was Miguel Cabrera in 2012 and before that Carl Yastrzemski in 1967.

For Judge, home runs and RBI is going to be a cakewalk. He had 61 homers which is 23 more than Mike Trout who is second in the American League and he has an 11 RBI lead over Jose Ramirez.

Where he may have to sweat a little bit is batting average. He is hitting .313 on the year, which is phenomenal obviously, but he's tied with Luis Arraez of the Twins. Xander Bogaerts at .309 also isn't too far behind.

It will likely come down to the final few games of the year before this one is decided, unfortunately. Judge's season has been tremendous and whether he wins the triple crown or not he is going to be the runaway for the American League MVP.

Aaron Judge bet on himself and man did it pay off. He's having a season for the ages and will be rewarded handsomely for it.
