NBA Odds: Oddsmakers Stunned as Big Money is on Trail Blazers

Following the announcement that the NBA would be returning, the betting market for which team will win the championship has received a huge spike in wagers.

And despite the fact that the Portland Trail Blazers are currently 14th-favorites and heavy outsiders to win their second ever championship, they have been very well backed in the betting market.

Although only 3% of bets on the ‘NBA Winner’ market (link below) have gone on Portland, they account for 13% of the handle (total amount of cash). Only the Los Angeles Lakers account for more of the handle with 21%, while the current favorites in the market – the Milwaukee Bucks – have just 8%.
