NBA Playoff Odds: Portland Backed For Finals Win After Lillard Heroics

Tuesday night saw the Portland Trail Blazers leapfrog the Memphis Grizzlies for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Portland have gone 5-2 inside the bubble and have steamed into 8th in the conference as the Grizzlies have stuttered to 1-6.

Support has been building for the Trail Blazers over the past few weeks but after Damian Lillard's performance on Tuesday it has exploded.

Portland are now available for a best price of +7000, having been as long as +20000 with some books just weeks ago.

This incredible run has been in part down to Lillard's heroics. Tuesday's 61-point game to overcome the Mavericks, was his thrid of the season, putting him alongside one of the great in Wilt Chamberlain, as the only people to have three 60-point games in the same season.

In the bubble he's averaged 37 points per game, 9.3 assists, 4.4 rebounds and has a 41% 3-point percentage, whilst also being 81% on free throws. With Dame in this form it's no surprise that bettors are flocking to Portland.

Portland, if they hold onto their eighth seed, with one game, and a potential play-in remaining, will face the Los Angeles Lakers who topped the divison and are +280 favorites to win the Championship.

That would be a tough game but it hasn't put off Oddschecker bettors with over 32.56% of all Finals bets since yesterday being on Portland.
