NBA Odds: Spike of Bets Placed on Miami to Win it All

We’re getting deeper and deeper into the NBA playoffs and as the series approach crunch time, it seems that sports bettors are backing the Miami Heat to stay cool.
Up 2-0 against the Bucks, the Heat have looked extremely impressive on the court and bettors have responded accordingly. In the 24 hours since their 2-point victory in Game 2, more bets have been placed on Miami to win the NBA title than any other team, with 31.82% of wagers backing them.
This is despite the fact that their odds of +800 sets them as the fifth-favorite with oddsmakers, and carries an implied probability of just 11.11% that they will achieve the feat.
Oddschecker spokesperson Pete Watt: "Miami was one of the form teams within the bubble and each passing day has only further developed a bond between the players. Whereas other teams may have more stars, the Heat have become more than the sum of their parts, a real team."
“Jimmy Butler is at his All-Star best, but his supporting cast, Dragic, Herro and Adebayo, are also showcasing their talents.”
