NBA Odds: Miami Heat Now Have A 78% Chance Of Reaching Finals
Miami’s Heat’s odds of winning the Eastern Conference and progressing to the NBA Finals have shortened to -334, indicative of a 77.98% chance of it happening.
The Heat have been performing out of their skin for weeks now, but still went into the series against the Celtics as underdogs.
However, after racing into a 2-0 lead – which included a sensational comeback in last night’s game two – sportsbooks have become extremely wary of Miami and are now making them very much favorites to progress.
Bettors have also been convinced by what they’ve seen, with a staggering 93% of all bets placed since the end of last night’s game backing Miami to progress, compared to just 7% of wagers backing Boston to turn it around.
In fact, bettors are also confident that Miami will not even reach the finals, but win those as well. Their odds of going all the way are +400 – the shortest they’ve been at any point this season – and 39% of all bets placed on the ‘NBA Winner’ market in the past week have favoured Miami, putting them ahead of heavy favorites the Lakers with 27% of the market share.
