NBA Odds: Bettors Backing Warriors To Bounce Back

The season hasn't long ended but basketball fans and bettors alike are starting to crave the return of the NBA. A dominant performance in the Finals has the Los Angeles Lakers installed as favorites with the bookies but we can reveal that it's the Golden State Warriors who the general public are backing.

Since the market opened following the Lakers' Finals win a huge 33.98% of all bets on the next winners of the championship have been on Steph Curry's Warriors. It's an impressive feat for a team who secured just 15 wins last season. There were extenuating circumstances and the return of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson from injury is the main reason for their popularity with bettors.

At +1000 the smart money could be on the Warriors who welcome back their stars and who own the second overall pick in this year's draft, due to take place on 18th November.

The Lakers are the second most popular bet unsurprisingly, raking in 21.36% of bets, at a price of just +400.

Steph Curry's former teammate Kevin Durant and his Brooklyn Nets team are the third most popular with bettors, accounting for 16.5% of all bets, and priced at +1000 too. Durant hasn't played since being injured in the 2019 Finals playing for the Warriors but has teamed up with Kyrie Irving and people are expecting great things.

The Bucks, with reigning MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo's Milwaukee Bucks making up 5.83% of bets. This year's beaten finalists the Miami Heat have only been backed by 3.88% of bettors, with most doubting that they'll be able to go on such a run again.
