Utah Jazz vs. Memphis Grizzlies Odds For Game 4

Man, what a disappointing end to Game 3 for the Memphis Grizzlies. They had the game in hand and basically shot themselves in the foot as the fourth quarter came to a close. Watching them chuck up three-pointer after three-pointer instead of running offensive sets to find a real look was infuriating. But, the good news is they’re still in this series, they just need a win against the Jazz on Monday night.

Utah Jazz Preview

It’s tough for me to accurately gauge the Jazz as a team and just how good they are. On the one hand, they don’t have consistent enough scoring on an individual basis to win off games in the playoffs. The only real shot creator on the team in Donovan Mitchell and he’s been battling an injury. Rudy Gobert continues to be one of the most overrated players in the NBA. I don’t care what his advanced defensive metrics say, any time he steps on the court with an elite offensive center he gets cooked.

On the other hand. Donovan Mitchell is awesome. Watching him play is not only exciting but he’s a legitimate top scorer in the NBA. Michael Conley is still very legit as one of the best pure point guards in the game. They need to do a better job defending Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks, nut if they continue with the same shot selection they showed in Game 3 it might not matter.

Memphis Grizzlies Preview

Outside of Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant, who from the Grizzlies can create and score on the offensive end? Jonas Valanciunas is awesome, but he’s not that guy on offense. Jaren Jackson Jr. still has a long way to go on that end and Kyle Anderson is the only other person really scoring the ball.

Now, that doesn’t mean Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks can’t carry them to a win. They did once in this series and almost did it again on Saturday night, but it makes it harder on everyone. The Jazz finished the regular season with the most wins for a reason. They play great team basketball and I worry that Memphis doesn’t have enough talent to get past that.
