Milwaukee Bucks vs. Atlanta Hawks Game 5 Odds: How To Bet, How To Watch & Start Time
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Atlanta Hawks Game 5 Odds
I am not quite sure what to make of this Bucks vs. Hawks series, and I’m quite positive I’m not the only one that feels this way.
Prior to Game 4, The Milwaukee Bucks led the Eastern Conference Finals, 2-1. Then, just a few hours before opening tip for Game 4, it was announced that Atlanta leading scorer Trae Young would be forced to miss the game with an ankle injury. So, most people thought the Hawks were done for.
Well, just because sports are never easy to predict, the Hawks dominated the Bucks in Game 4, tying the series at two games apiece. Making series predictions even more difficult is the fact that Giannis Antetokounmpo left the game with a scary hyperextension injury to his knee.
We don’t know exactly how long Giannis will be out, but it’s safe to assume he will miss at least Game 5. Just a few days ago, the Bucks seemed to have a trip to the NBA Finals locked in. Now, they may be the latest victim of the Hawks’ Cinderella story season.
The Bucks are still -124 favorites to win the series, but an Atlanta win on Thursday would surely swap those Eastern Conference Finals odds. Let’s take a look at Game 5.

Milwaukee Bucks Preview
So, where exactly do we begin with the Bucks if they’re going to be without Giannis Antetokounmpo? It’s not going to be easy to advance without their superstar, but it’s possible. Especially with Trae Young’s status also in doubt.
For me, the key to this series has always been Khris Middleton. As a matter of fact, he’s not just the key to this series, but he’s been the most important Milwaukee player all season. It’s really simple. When Khris Middleton plays good, efficient offensive basketball and shoot well, the Bucks win. When Middleton plays poorly, like he did in Game 4, the Bucks lose.
Giannis Antetokounmpo obviously makes this team tick, but he’s a constant, a known factor. Middleton has high highs and low lows and they rely on him to score in their offensive sets. Going 6-17 from the floor, 0-7 from three and racking up a -25 +/- like he did in Game 4, is not going to cut it, especially with Giannis expected to be out for at least Game 5.
Atlanta Hawks Preview
For the life of me I cannot figure out what makes this Atlanta team tick. You’re telling me Kevin Huerter and Bogdan Bogdanovic are good enough to carry a team to the NBA Finals? All I do know is that Nate McMillan may be in the middle of the greatest coaching performance we’ve ever seen.
If Trae Young can play in Game 5 and Giannis Antetokounmpo can’t, that very well may be a wrap on the Bucks. Trae is a volume scorer, never one to be extremely efficient, but he can kill you in more ways than you can count. He penetrates, finishes, gets to the line and can shoot from half court. Even if he’s not hitting his shots, you still need to respect him and focus a lot of defensive attention on him.
If Trae Young doesn’t play, I think the Bucks hold the advantage with Middleton, Holliday and Lopez. But, yet again, maybe Nate McMillan is really just too good.
