Bucks vs. Suns Game 1 Recap

On the heels of Chris Paul’s first finals, the Suns took a 1-0 series lead on Tuesday with a 118-105 win at home. The Sun’s stars shined bright, Paul, Booker and Ayton combined for 81 points to overcome a hobbled Giannis and the Bucks.

Giannis, who missed the final two games of the Eastern Conference finals, was upgraded from doubtful to questionable and then inserted into the starting lineup on Tuesday. He finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds.

Bucks vs. Suns Game 2 Preview

The Bucks will look to step up on the defensive end on Thursday night in order to try and even up the series. In Game 1, the Bucks got burned on the Sun’s pick and roll, they switched on everything, and Booker and Paul made them pay for that. Milwaukee will look to clean up their turnovers as well.

For the Suns, it seems like they did everything right in Game 1. Phoenix was able to limit their turnovers, make their shots, and were reliable from the free throw line. Unfortunately for the Suns, they lost Dario Saric in Game 1 to a torn right ACL. This means that their rotation will shorten, and Phoenix’s big men will have to give more minutes.

The Bucks will try to tie it up in Phoenix before the series shifts to Milwaukee.
