Damian Lillard's Next Team: New York Knicks Favored to Land Lillard

With Henry Abbott’s bombshell news that Damian Lillard is expected to request a trade, oddsmakers have released odds on his next destination. Usurpingly the odds are tight, but it’s the New York Knicks who stand at the top.

Who Are The Favorites to Land Damian Lillard?

The Knicks are given +250 odds, or an implied 28.6% chance to land Lillard. They’re quickly followed by the Philadelphia 76ers, who have been given +275 odds or an implied 26.7% chance to land him. The Miami Heat round out the top-3 with +300 odds, or a 25% chance to make a deal.

Lakers and Clippers Odds To Acquire Damian Lillard

The Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers are both expected to be involved given +350 and +400 odds respectively. The Celtics are last on the market at +450.

The odds are tight with most of the top teams in the NBA expected to fight to land Dame. However, it seems oddsmakers do believe there is a clear top-3 with the Knicks, 76ers, and Heat all given a 25% chance or better of making a deal. Conspicuously missing from this list is the Golden State Warriors who were expected to make a play if Lillard did become available. It seems oddsmakers don’t expect them to be involved.
