We're just a day away from Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors. So, it seemed like a good time to break down the most popular bets for Game 1 of the series.

On the one side, you have the Golden State Warriors coming in looking to add to their already established dynasty with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green at the helm.

On the other side, you have Boston. Boston is led by a young core with no real one central superstar. Instead, they've been using their young guns, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, surrounded by a cast of solid supporting players.

What are people betting on Thursday? Let's take a look at the NBA Finals Game 1 most popular bets.

Warriors -3.5

TeamSpreadBets%Handle%
Golden State-3.576%87%
Boston+3.524%13%

For the reasons listed above, it's not too surprising to see the Warriors heavily backed in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. After all, they have more name recognition and most would probably admit they're the more talented roster. But, it's a little surprising to see it so lopsided with the spread so tight.76% of all spread bets and a whopping 87% of the handle, or money, is on the Warriors to take a 1-0 lead in the series on Thursday.

Over 212.5

Over212.568%74%
Under32%26%212.5

I'm a little shocked to see so much money and action on the over, seeing as Boston is such a sound defensive team, led by the Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart and Al Horford. But, people love to bet the over and 212.5 isn't a lot of points to cash this one. I'd be more tempted to see how the game pans out early and hop on a live total, but people seem to love the over for Game 1.

Steph Curry Over 3.5 Three-Pointers Made (-125) (Bet $125 to win $100)

Yeah, this is just going to always be one of the most-bet props for any Golden State game ever. Steph Curry is the best shooter in NBA history. Needing only 4 three-pointers to cash a bet seems like a gift every single time. Sure, at -125 the price isn't great, but this is the game's most bet prop for a reason. When the lights are brightest, Steph Curry comes to play. You can expect the same in Game 1.

Draymond Green Over 7.5 Rebounds (+110) (Bet $100 to win $110)

Get used to Golden State Warriors props being popular because there isn't a single Celtics prop that made the top-5 list. Next up, as the second most popular prop pick for Game 1, is Draymond Green's rebounds. It's interesting to see this number bet so highly. In the Western Conference Finals against the Mavericks, Green only hit this number once, and it came in Game 1.

Steph Curry Over 27.5 Points (-120) (Bet $120 to win $100)

What do you know? Another Steph Curry prop bet. If Curry is going to go over 27 points then he's going to need to hit at least four three-pointers. So, you may as well bet both if you're going to bet this one. Curry hit this number in two of the five Western Conference Finals games. But, as we mentioned earlier, he has a bit of a flair for the dramatic. So, expect a big output from him all series long.
