NBA Free Agents: Ranking the Top 25 2022 NBA Free Agents
NBA free agency will begin on Thursday and there are 25 extremely intriguing players that could be up for grabs when the free agency window opens. Below, I rank the best players available in this year's NBA free agency.
Top 25 2022 NBA Free Agents
1. Zach LaVine
LaVine averaged 24.4 points per game last season with the Chicago Bulls while also adding 4.5 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game last year. He's just 27 years old and helped the Bulls get into the playoffs along with DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic. I think LaVine stays put in Chicago if he's offered the five-year max contract worth $212 million.
2. James Harden
Harden has a player option for $47.4 million. He'll likely opt-in and stick it out with Joel Embiid in Philadelphia. If not, he'd become a free agent with many potential destinations.
3. Bradley Beal
Beal also has a player option with the Wizards for $36.4 million. It's looking like he will opt out of his option and then re-sign with Washington for five years and $248 million.
4. Miles Bridges
5. DeAndre Ayton
6. Jalen Brunson
All three of these players are restricted free agents. This means that the current team is able to match any offer that is given from another team to retain the player. But to some of these teams, these players aren't worth the maximum that they'll get from other teams. We'll see how these three players handle free agency.
7. Collin Sexton 8. Anfernee Simons
Two more restricted free agents.
9. John Wall
No one knows what's left in John Wall's tank, but he has been bought out by the Rockets and will eventually sign with the Clippers. Interesting stuff.
10. Tyus Jones
11. Gary Payton II
12. Bruce Brown
More young talent will be unrestricted free agents. These three players can be legitimate game-changers if they pick the right team to join.
13. Donte DiVincenzo
14. Nicolas Claxton
More restricted free agents that could end up elsewhere.
15. Isaiah Hartenstein
16. Kyle Anderson
17. Gary Harris
18. Malik Monk
More talent will make a difference to contending teams. It looks like Monk would love to stay in Los Angeles, but let's see where the other three wind up.

19. Mitchell Robinson
20. Kevon Looney
I think we can all agree that Looney should do whatever he can to play for Golden State. However, I'm sure he'll get a much better payday elsewhere, so that kind of stinks.
21. Victor Oladipo
22. Patty Mills
Mills has a player option with the Nets. He's currently undecided on what he'll do.
24. P.J. Tucker
25. Bobby Portis
