Kyrie Irving Next Team Odds: Lakers, Heat the Favorites to Land the Disgruntled Star

The NBA Trade Deadline just got an insane twist as Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has requested a trade. There hasn't been a reason behind his request for this trade and it's going to be interesting to find out what's going on down in Brooklyn. Due to this news, sportsbooks have released the Kyrie Irving next team odds and it's time to dive right into them.

From the outside looking in, this team has played incredible basketball and Irving is a major reason why. He was suspended earlier in the season and came back and seemed to have figured things out both on and off of the court. It didn't look like he was upset with his role in Brooklyn and he genuinely looked like he was having a good time playing with the organization. Kevin Durant has been out with an injury, but the Nets have still stayed afloat and are the current fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

This could be a major shake-up in what's going to go down within the next few days. The NBA Trade Deadline is typically already a crazy time, but this is just going to lead to something that we might never have seen before. Kevin Durant requested a trade last time Kyrie Irving came out and said he didn't want to play with the team, so could we see something similar happen once again?

Let's break down the Kyrie Irving next team odds and see where sportsbooks have him going.

As we can see from the Kyrie Irving next team odds, the Los Angeles Lakers currently have the best odds to acquire the superstar guard. If they could find a way to possibly trade Russell Westbrook for Irving with all of their picks, this is something that Los Angeles would certainly do. It's been clear that the Lakers are missing a piece and while you do have to deal with other aspects of Kyrie, there's no debate that what he does on the court is superstar-level stuff.

Another interesting team to look out for here could potentially be the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks have the third-highest Kyrie Irving next team odds. Dallas clearly needs a second star to pair next to Luka Doncic and while they might not want to bring in Kyrie because of how ball dominant he is at times, it might not be a bad idea from the Mavericks' perspective to go out and try to acquire him. He can clearly be a massive help when Luka needs it, which has been more often than not this season despite Luka playing at an MVP level.

Perhaps the New York Knicks could get in on this deal, but that doesn't seem too likely. Kyrie clearly wasn't liked in the New York media for many different reasons, so going to the bigger market team in the same city probably wouldn't be the best move for him.

This is crazy news coming out of Brooklyn and it's going to be interesting to see what happens within the next week.
