Fresh off their regular season division titles, Liberty and Jacksonville State are the favorites to claim the conference title. For Liberty, this is familiar territory, but for Jacksonville State, it’s a first.

Jacksonville State was the overall conference regular-season champion with a 13-3 record. However, they’re the runner-up on the odds market. The Gamecocks are given +165 odds, or an implied 37.7% chance to win their first ASUN title. Meanwhile, Liberty is given +115 odds, or an implied 46.5% chance to take home their 4th straight ASUN title.
The rest of the conference isn’t given much of a chance. Jacksonville is given a 10% chance after finishing second in the East. Everyone else is given +1300 odds or worse. Though, that shouldn’t be a big surprise. Florida Gulf Coast finished third in their division, and Bellarmine is a team still transitioning from DII. Everyone else had a conference record under .500.

Liberty has to be the favorite here. They may not have been the best team in the conference this year, but they were 2nd and they’ve won the tournament the last 3 years in a row. Jacksonville state is a real threat, and upsets are always on the table, but oddsmakers have a good reason for backing Liberty.
