2022 NCAA Tournament: Ranking the Four Regions in March Madness
Ranking The Four Regions
Once the NCAA March Madness brackets are released, there are always two scenarios that take place. There's always that really hard bracket where every team has a chance to win a particular region. And then there's always that really easy bracket where you just know that the top seed of the region will move on all the way to the Final Four. So which region is the easy region and which one is the hard region? Let's rank them.

1. West Region
The West region has Gonzaga as 1 seed and Duke as 2 seed. Already, that seems extremely difficult. Then you can add Texas Tech, who came close to winning the Big 12, however, ended up losing to Kansas. Then there are talented teams like UConn and young teams like Memphis that could make some noise in the tournament. Nobody would be surprised if a team like Davidson went and beat up Duke and Michigan State's team could beat anyone with Tom Izzo coaching. The West is extremely difficult.
2. East Region
In the East, I see six teams that have a potential Final Four in them. Baylor, Kentucky, Purdue, UCLA, Saint Mary's, and Murray State could all make runs. Plus, the region has a 6-11 game between Texas and Virginia Tech. Texas has plenty of elite talent while Virginia Tech just won the ACC over Duke. This region is going to be very interesting. I still like Kentucky out of the region but I wouldn't be surprised if UCLA made a run and beat Saint Mary's or Indiana and then beat Baylor afterward. This is a crazy hard region too!

3. South Region
This region isn't as difficult as the other two. But when Tennessee is sitting in the region as a three seed, things can get interesting. Tennessee won the SEC over Kentucky and clearly has momentum coming into the tournament. So does Villanova, who won the Big East Championship over the weekend. Personally, I'm a big Arizona supporter and think that Arizona could win it all this season. But there's also Illinois and Houston at the top of their bracket and both of those teams are well-coached and should be prepared for a massive run as well. Buckle up!

4. Midwest
Kansas has it easy, right? Kansas is the 1 seed and has to worry about Auburn and Wisconsin in the 2 and 3 spots. Auburn is terrible away from home and Wisconsin's wins just don't add up with the analytics. Providence has had a ton of luck this season and Iowa doesn't have the defense to get enough stops and win the region. I think Kansas has it very easy in this side of the bracket.
